We Remember Barbara Ann Sirmon
In A Special Way!
Barbara Ann Sirmon was born January 14, 1948 in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Van B. Sirmons and the late Thelma S. Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her stepmother Etta M. Sirmons, siblings Francis Jones, Charles Clayton, Collis Sermon, Clifford Sermon, Christine Dinkins, and Deborah Sermon.
Barbara attended school in Palm Beach County and Lake County where she excelled academically and socially. Barbara was previously employed as a property manager for many years. During her employment, she had the opportunity to travel and work in the Caribbean. At the time of her passing, she was employed for over thirty-years as a Household Manager for Techniservices, Inc. where she continued to display a spirit of excellence. Everything that Barbara represented was a blessing.
As a disciple of Christ, Barbara kept God at the center of her life. She attended and served faithfully at Christian Temple Church. She served in various ministries, such as the steward board, choir ministry, and finance department. She later joined the congregation of Saint Paul AME Church where she was currently serving in the choir.
She was full of compassion, strength, faith, and acts of service. She always had a way with words which made everyone feel loved and special. Although she was not fond of public speaking, she often spoke encouragement to others. Neighbors, friends, strangers, and family often sought the power of her wisdom. She provided the best advice and counsel which came from her heart and faith.
Barbara rejoiced in God’s unprecedented favor in her life whenever she had the opportunity.
She was grateful to Him for all of His faithfulness and many wonderful blessings. It was exemplified in her love and kindness to others.
Her love and acts of service were done without any expectations or recognition, but rather to fulfill God‘s purpose in her life by exemplifying the humble characteristics of biblical women such as Rebekah.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory; two brothers Minister Willie Sermon (Dr. Brenda), Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Bishop Alton Sermon, Ocala, FL; god sister Ruby Gibson (Michael); god brother Terry French, both of West Palm Beach, FL; one sister in law Loretta Sermon, West Palm Beach, FL; god daughters Dr. Carlisa Smith, Natrina Jones-Burgin (Tron), Novelet Rolle, and Gayla Davis (Kelvin); godson David Robinson; special niece Keya Sermon; special nephew Zack Austin; besties Vanessa Coalbrooke and Tina Brown; childhood and longtime friend Carolyn Wallace; special neighbor and brother Paul Giorgio (Diane) and a large host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, besties, family and friends.
