Obituary

A TIME TO BE BORN

Courtney Donta Pierce was on December 15, 1977, in West Palm Beach FL, to the parents of the late Carl Pierce Sr., and Gwendolyn D. Foster. He confessed Christ an early age and joined the Peaceful Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. William H. Burrs, who also baptized him.

A TIME TO DIE

Courtney Donta Pierce transitioned Monday January 15, 2024 @ 11:40AM in Montgomery Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Pierce Sr., his youngest brother, Corddero N. Drummond, his loving grandparents James and Jerriel Drummond, Willie, and Elouise Pierce and Early and Beatrice Foster. He was also proceeded in death by four uncles, Pastor Rother Lee, Willie James, Oscar, and Ernie B. Pierce. Two aunts Roveta Pierce and Eula Gibson and a special cousin/brother Eugune Miller.

A TIME TO BUILD

He was a 1997 graduate of Palm Beach/ Gardens Palm Beach Lake High School, where he exceled in football and track.

A TIME TO MOURN

Courtney leaves to cherish his memories a beloved daughter Tajaha’na Corneisha Pierce of West Palm Beach FL, three loving sons, Corrddero Donta Pierce of Houston TX, Courtney Donta Pierce Jr., of Montgomery AL, and Cordell Eugene Pierce of Las Vegas NV. He is also survived by his devoted and loving parents Pastor John E. and First Lady Gwendolyn Foster of Union Springs, AL. He is survived by one brother Carl Pierce (Mia Andrews) of West Palm Beach FL. One sister Chakana Pierce of West Palm Beach FL. He leaves four uncles James Drummond, Las Vegas NV. Clifford (Rendy) Drummond of Las Vegas NV, Ammie Lee (Yvonne) Johnson and Patrick Drummond of Ft Lauderdale FL. He leaves six aunts, Vivian (James) Black of West Palm Beach FL, Terri (James) Coney of West Palm Beach FL, Bernice (Calvin) Bland of Houston TX, Louise Jones of Newman GA, Cynthia Pierce of West Palm Beach FL and Rosanna Wilkins of Newman GA. One God sister Brittany (Shawn) Virgo of Macon GA. Three God Brothers Loic Gadson of Miami FL, Sharrod and Danquaveion Johnson of Union Springs, AL. A host of nieces, nephew, and cousins. Special cousin Marcus Gaskin, Tommy Gaskin Jr., Chauncey Davis, Clifford Drummond, Markeith Black and Corey Coney. A host of loving and devoted cousins and friends. Left also to cherish memories, a special friend Thiesha Jones.
