LOU VAUGHAN SEGEE of Milton, FL passed away August 3rd, 2024 at the age of 73.
Lou was born in Lantana, FL on August 23, 1950, to Helen Veney Vaughan and Morgan Dixon
Vaughan. A lifetime resident of Florida, she graduated from Lake Worth High School, followed
by her attendance at the University of Florida.
In her professional life, Lou was a highly skilled and dedicated dispatcher for the Boynton Beach
emergency services for many years, and was known for her ability to be very calm under
pressure.
Beyond her academic and professional career, Lou was an avid lover of crafting, animals, and
organizing amazing family vacations. She was extremely talented, and shared her gifts with
friends and family in the form of beautiful blankets, homemade shirts, stained glass pieces, and
countless crochet and cross stitch projects. There was truly nothing she could not do if she set
her mind to it. She leaves behind a legacy of memories, love, and mementos cherished by loved
ones.
Lou is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Segee; her parents, Helen Veney Vaughan
and Morgan Dixon Vaughan; and her brother, Thomas Marshall Vaughan.
She is survived by her two children, daughter Carly (Segee) Williams, and her son Alex Segee;
son-in-law Andrew Williams; 3 grandchildren, Peyton, Sofia, and Finely Williams; as well as her
longtime partner Glenn Vann.
A Memorial service will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home on August 8th, 2024 at 12:00pm,
1000 S Hwy 29, Cantonment, FL 32533, followed by a private family burial at Barrancas National
Cemetery.
